Horizon: Posidonienschiefer Formation.

Biostratigraphy:

Age: Lowr Toarcian Stage, Upper Lias Epoch, Late Early Jurassic.

Material:

SMNS 51945: An almost complete articualted skeleton lackign most of the skull.

Note: With gastroliths: numerous medium-to-coarse, sand-sized grains mainly composed of quartz.

Note: Buff-coloured and dark-coloured structures are present around the neck, tail and hindlimb, i.e. soft tissue impressions.
